Where's Lunch

Today is Friday and it is currently 11:03 AM. I am starving! I haven't been good all week. I don't think I have brought my lunch once to work. So, I have spent more money than necessary for food that is way less than healthy in order to sustain myself. Today, though, an attorney's office at the end of the hall is having a Christmas Lunch. Yippy! Free food. That is always good! I can't wait to make it down there at 11:30...My watch keeps ticking...ticking...ticking...ticking...and ticking; but, it is making no progress in propelling time forward at all. I would be willing to bet that Mexico can hear my stomach growling right about now. Perhaps I should go down there and offer my assistance in the whole set up process. That way I can taste test some of the food that will be served. Now, I am in now way trying to say that this is going to be healthy food or even non-processed food. It probably really shouldn't be consumed; but, hey...it's free and it will need to be eaten before it goes bad. I don't ever want to be accused of refusing a gift...especially when it's food.

On Monday I have yet another free lunch to attend. Well, I'm sure one of my supervisors had to pay something for it...but, it's free to me. Wooo hooo...I get to attend the Annual Landman's Christmas Party. I guess there are a few perks to my job. At least all the people I work with don't feel they have to be politically correct with the "holiday season". It's Christmas...Christmas...Christmas...Christmas. The official federal holiday which is observed is Christmas. If you are not a Christian then you don't have to celebrate. So, go ahead and go to work. I'm sure you won't be appreciated any more for your lack of belief and hard work.
